The Kristin Wig

Realistic & Customized

Meet Kristin

In 2021 Kristin, the owner of Beautiful Me Hair Studio, began practicing hand knotting, which is a tedious technique where individual strands of hair are tied onto a piece of lace to mimic the way hair grows out of the scalp. Kristin spent all of 2022 perfecting the craft. She didn’t expect to start making full wigs so soon, but when a client came to her with a need for a complete wig, she felt called to rise to the occasion. In the spring of 2023, she crafted the first Kristin Wig, and since then, she's been making full wigs.

The Kristin Wig, and all wigs made through Beautiful Me Hair Studio, are ethically sourced with donated hair along with the capability of using the clients bio hair, allowing them to wear their hair just as they did before—styled, up, down, however they like. All the wigs are made locally by a team of women directed by Kristin VandenBrink.

At first, unfamiliar with the shady side of the human hair industry, Kristin dove deep into researching sustainable sourcing, ethical practices, and wig construction. Her journey reflects a growing commitment to quality, transparency, and continuous improvement. Today, she remains dedicated to perfecting the Kristin Wig, offering a hand-crafted, natural-looking wig tailored for active individuals seeking both function and style.

Client Testimonial

I went to Beautiful Me Hair Studio after starting to lose my hair from chemotherapy, and I couldn’t be more grateful. She was able to create a stunning wig using my own hair, and it brought me so much comfort and confidence. Not only is the wig beautiful, but she made me feel beautiful too. I left the studio feeling like myself again. I absolutely love the wig and the care she put into every detail!
