Client Testimonial

Navigating breast cancer treatment comes with so many emotional hurdles, and one of the hardest for me was the fear of losing my hair. From the moment I stepped into Beautiful Me Salon, I felt supported, seen, and understood. Kristin, the owner and stylist, is not only incredibly skilled but also deeply compassionate—having walked this journey herself as a breast cancer survivor.

Kristin helped me select a beautiful synthetic wig that fit both my style and comfort. But what meant the most to me was her ability to make a custom wig using my own hair. The emotional impact of being able to preserve a part of myself in such a tangible way is something I’ll never forget. Kristin treated the entire process with such care, respect, and empathy.

She is open-minded, friendly, and creates a safe space where vulnerability is met with warmth and empowerment. I cannot thank her enough for helping me reclaim a sense of control and confidence during such a difficult time. If you are going through cancer treatment—or supporting someone who is—Kristin and Beautiful Me Salon are a true gift.

FAQ’s

How do I care for the Sage Wig?

You will use all of the same hair products that you would use on your bio hair. You can shampoo the Sage Wig every couple weeks, then deep condition and let her air dry. Since the hair is not receiving your natural scalp oils, it is beneficial to add Moroccan oil to the hair shaft weekly.

Can I curl and style the hair?

Yes, you can use hot tools on the Sage Wig because it is human hair. You will always want to use a heat protectant before curling or straightening. You can use a blow dryer once hair has air dried 80%.

Will any hair shed from the Sage Wig?

Yes, slight shedding will happen with the Sage Wig with brushing and styling. It is very important to use a wide, bristle, brush or comb so that you don’t stress the hair.

Will the Sage Wig fall off if I go boating or ride in a convertible?

The Sage Wig is very secure on the head and with the added yoga band in place it adds extra security. I have gone boating, rode roller coasters, swimming, convertible rides, hiking, exercising, and deep-sea fishing wearing Sage Wig, and I have never worried that she would come off.

Can I wear the Sage Wig when my bio hair starts growing back?

Yes, when your hair is in the awkward phase, you can blend your bio hair in with the Sage Wig as you gather it up into the ponytail.

How long does my own hair have to be to make a Sage Wig?

We need a minimum of 12 inches in length to create the Sage Wig. Typically we need to supplement with one to three hair donors to achieve the correct density.

Can my friend or family member donate their hair towards my Sage Wig?
